Schedule of Events

Meetings/ Events:

                 Instead of meetings every other month, we are switching to 3 annual events –

                

 

                 October – Dyslexia Awareness Month:

                                       plan events to support new parents Q&A

Saturday, October 17 – “an Awareness presentation from our team (tentative vendors: TSRH, ALTA, DBIDA)”.

 

January – Focus on Support of the Dyslexic Student:

                                  plan events around types of support

                 Saturday, January TBD    - Study Skills, Organization, Self-Advocacy, Mentoring, College Prep, etc. (Include Rene King’s kids presentation and possibly Read and Write Gold vendor)

 

April/May – Student Showcase:

                          plan events to showcase student successes

                 Saturday, TBD – Showcase the use of technology used during the 2009-10 school year that helped our kids be successful. (tentative vendors: B&N,RFB&D, Classmate Readers, etc)
